The Zara Foundation was established to enhance Zara’s mission of transforming communities by supporting charitable organizations and events that benefit:
- Seniors and families
- Wellness initiatives
- Communities surrounding Zara locations across the company’s footprint
A key activity of the Zara Foundation will grant scholarships for higher learning and summer camps to residents of Zara managed affordable communities. Our goal is to assist high potential, but economically disadvantaged students and families, achieve their education and career goals.
Foundation funds are raised through the private donation of the Zara companies and the financial support of corporations, companies, families, private trusts, and individuals.
The Zara Foundation announced that it created the COVID-19 Resident Relief Fund to provide support to residents who are facing adverse effects due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Resident Relief Fund will be able to assist residents in the following two categories:
- Food – Residents who are unable to access food safely and/or afford enough food to feed their family.
- Household Bills & Basic Needs – Residents who are experiencing financial hardships from loss of employment and are unable to pay for essential living expenses other than food.

The application period for scholarships has been extended to May 15, 2020.
