When food is accessible at home, children are better able to show up ready to learn
ZARA Charitable Foundation recently completed another food relief distribution at @ps182qmagnetschool in Queens. Through our monthly school pantry, over 80 families — approximately 250 individuals — received grocery hampers designed to ease food stress and help students remain focused and supported. This initiative was made possible in partnership with @childcenterny and @mannanusa, providing culturally familiar groceries with dignity and care. When food is accessible at home, children are better able to show up ready to learn, regardless of what is happening in their lives outside the classroom. As grocery prices remain high and families across New York City continue to face economic pressures, this pantry builds on our Give&Go program, which has delivered over 1 million meals across the city. We are proud to continue expanding relief where it is needed most, and grateful for the partners, staff, and school community who helped make this distribution possible.
