In 2018, for example, the company distributed thousands of backpacks loaded with school supplies at a Jamaica, Queens event that was also open to tenants; state Assemblyman David Weprin attended and praised the company’s community engagement. Zara has given tens of thousands of backpacks filled with supplies to its residents to date.
